It's all systems GO for Black Prince festive bus services in West Yorkshire!
Good Evening All,
Christmas Day 2018
It's a pleasure to confirm that we will be hitting the streets of Morley and Leeds on Christmas Day, for the fourth year in succession.
Our preserved Black Prince bus will be operating several journeys on route X51 from Morley to Leeds, with buses extending to Morley Tingley Mills and the Leeds hospitals every other hour.
The first departure will be from Morley Tingley Mills at 1015, as in previous years, then every two hours, but the core section of route between Morley Town Hall and Leeds City Centre will have an hourly service.
The hospitals will see our bus every other hour, with the last departure from St James being at 1945.
New Year's Day 2019
In addition to our Christmas Day X51 Service, you'll be able to use one of our preserved Black Prince buses on New Year's Day 2019, with the former Black Prince route 87 resurrected for the first time since 2005.
Our bus will operate hourly over a special version of the route, between The White Rose Shopping Centre, Morley Town Hall and Morley Railway Station.
This is designed to get Morley residents to the sales at the shopping centre and to connect with the railway station, where a full normal weekday service will be in operation to link passengers with Leeds, Huddersfield and beyond.
2019 is the Golden Anniversary of the Black Prince company, we have several classic bus running sessions planned during the course of the year, with the New Year's Day 87 being the first.
We hope to provide a good community link with our free bus route on a day where very little public bus transport is available, but a full train service operates.
