Black Prince 50th Anniversary Weekend

Good Evening, now that we have finalised the timetable & sent it for print, I can provide an update on our Golden Anniversary running weekend.....


Plans are in place for several FREE Black Prince bus services operating over the weekend, supporting the superb Morley St George festival & parade.


Saturday 27/04/2019


Morley will be buzzing with a street market the full length of Queen Street, live entertainment & music all day, Black Prince goodies & tombola, raffle & of course, red & yellow buses in operation around the town, including early evening services over route X51, just like the old days!


Black Prince FREE Bus service to commence around 1000 over the following routes, with the first buses as follows,


53, 1015 Morley Railway Station-Morley Glen Estate

53, 1030 Morley Glen Estate-Morley Railway Station

420, 1000 Morley Town Hall Stop A-Gildersome

424, 1002 Morley Town Hall Stop A-Morley Westwoodside

424, 1010 Morley Westwoodside-Thorpe

X49, 0955 Leeds Vicar Lane M7-Morley Town Hall

X51, 1815 Leeds Vicar Lane M7-Morley Tingley Mills


Sunday 28/04/2019


1130 will see the St George parade start at Morley Town Hall, slowly making its way towards the rugby ground.


Black Prince buses will form part of the parade, but around 1200 midday, the fleet will swing into action over the following routes, with the first buses as follows,


52A, 1200 Morley Rugby Club-Morley Town Hall-Morley Railway Station

53A, 1200 Morley Tingley Mills-Millshaw

205, 1237 Morley Town Hall-Gildersome-Pudsey
